Thank you for the info on this potentially great tool. One of the common “fears” I’ve heard stemming from the democratization of the Internet is that of information overload. Basically, the difficulty in being able to filter what is valuable information and what is not. I’m looking forward to trying out CIThread in my future research and content aggregation. I think we’ll see many more technologies like this in the future but it sounds like CIThread might have an edge due to its ability to learn from past choices. There is a lot of potential for something like this to really take off. I’m surprised Google hasn’t applied their insane algorithms for something like this.

Paul,
Thanks for the CIThread lead!
I'm new to some of this terminology, but not to the concept.

I established my blog a year ago to provide content for my fellow Architectural bloggers. Now I'm developing it into an ongoing news and article aggregator.

Curator sounds a lot better than aggregaor, doesn't it?

Hi, Robin:

Thanks for commenting. I'm a big fan. I'm also not surprised that you're out front of this trend.

I took look at curation station, although I haven't signed up for an account yet. It looks like it does basically the same thing as CIThread, but I don't get a sense that there is an inference engine involved. It sounds like it delivers filtered content but doesn't really learn from your choices. Great price, though.

Another tool worth looking at is Curata. They are shipping and have some name brand customers..

Dear Paul,
thanks for bringing to public attention this new interesting tool.

I have already gone on their site and contacted them, as I would like to see more closely how usable and effective is their curation engine.
I see, probably as you do yourself, that the time of newsmastering, newsradars or what we call now, real-time content curation is just emerging now,
and what we had seen a few years back was just a bit too early for the industry to appreciate and understand.

From what I am collecting myself, we are on the verge of seeing a new renaissance of this curation tools. So much so that I am preparing a new guide
on the topic.

To reciprocate your great post-pointer to CIthread let me point to you another newsmastering tool which I see having lots of cool features, a great interface and much potential. Go to curationstation dot com and see for yourself. I'd be curious to know what you think of it and how do you see these two compare to each other.
